Wines variety Carinyena / Mazuelo

Black grape variety known as Samson in Catalonia and La Rioja Mazuelo, is native to the Ebro river, particularly in the Aragonese town of Carignan. Very productive strain, late and sensitive to fungal diseases and humidity sprouting. It produces wines with great capacity for aging due to its high concentration of polyphenols, great acidity and noticeable alcohol content. It contains bitter vegetables, spicy floral and berry aromas.
