In palate is powerful, fresh, wide, full of nuances, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, cocoa, cofee, smoked-dried...Its lenght, smoothness, elegance, leaves a fond and great memory.

Deliciuos with any kind of grilled o roasted meat, different kind of sausages, cheese, fish in savory sauces, stews and vegetables.

Félix Azpilicueta Martínez is one of the most relevant figures in the history of Rioja wine. A dynamic and enterprising man, in 1881 he took over a small vineyard in Fuenmayor and founded the wineries of Romeral, one of the pioneering wineries in the area. Don Félix, as his neighbors called him, soon installed the first Transfer Station in Spain and participated in the first Rioja wine exports. Little by little, with a lot of effort and a great commercial vision, he transformed that primitive winery into a well-known and prestigious brand.
The construction of the cellar underground allows to achieve naturally the ideal conditions for the production and aging of the wine while integrating with the landscape. The burial of most of the winery creates spaces where darkness and serenity evoke the spatial and environmental qualities of the most traditional wineries and allows our winemaking team to work as wine artisans.
