TASTING NOTE
Colour

Intense cherry red, deep in intensity, bright and clean, with a rim between violet and garnet.

AROMA:

Ripe black and red fruit (blackberry, raspberry, plum), with Mediterranean herbs and garrigue, a balsamic base and a spicy touch.

TASTE:

Lively acidity, very typical of Samsó, with present and firm tannins, medium-to-full body and a long finish with a return of fruit and herbs.

MATCHING
Pairs with red and grilled meats, botifarra and cured sausages, stews and casseroles, mountain rice dishes and cured cheeses.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
A D.O. Empordà, 100% Samsó (Carignan, the region's traditional variety), from the Vins Extrems winery, in a land shaped by the tramuntana wind, with sandy soils and slate and granite closer to the mountains.

Wines reds designation of origin D.O. Empordà
The appellation of Origin Empordà is located on the northern-east of Catalonia. The territory is distributed in two regions and 55 villages. 35 belong to Alt Empordà and the remaining 20 belong to Baix Empodrà. The average annual production reaches the 65000 hectoliters of wine with a planted surface of around 2000 hectares. From its beginnings the denomination was called Empordà-Costa Brava, but in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was deleted.
