The Designation of Origin Costers del Segre is a mosaic formed by seven territories spread along the entire whatersed of the Segre River and the Lleida Pyrenees with the goal of grouping and providing its own entity to the viticulture of the province of Lleida.

The Designation of Origin DO Costers del Segre has its own well-defined characteristics that differentiate it from others, such as the privileged situation of soils with a calcareous composition and a marked Mediterranean climate, with strong seasonal and daily temperature fluctuations, which make it ideal for growing grapes.
