White grape of great tradition in the Penedès, Conca de Barberà and Tarragona. It brings freshness and elegance to the classic blend, which also involved the Xarel.lo and Macabeo, to make the famous sparkling wine, Cava. Very productive and sensitive to fungal diseases and drought strain. The resulting wines are of moderate alcohol content, acidity and soft pale. Low aromatic intensity will highlight citrus fruits like grapefruit and some floral notes.
