TASTING NOTE
Colour: Color rojo cereza picota, con ribotes granates intensos y brillantes que forman una buena capa.
Aroma: Elegante, envolvente y fin. En puntas de fruta negra (ciruela), maderas aromáticas, especias (pimienta negra), hoja de tabaco...
Taste: Sápido, elegante y equilibrado. Recuerdos a toffee, cacao, buena madera.
MATCHING
Ideal with half power taste dishes, neither too strong nor spicy as beef steak with red fruit sauce. A roast chicken with prunes and pine nuts, or rabbit ratatouille.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Ceferino Carrio was born in Santander in 1928. At the 50's he emigrated to the USA where a year later changed his name to Jean Leon.
He created his own restaurant in Beverly Hills on April 1st of 1956. The most famous names from Hollywood and from the politics attended to the event. Years later, Reagan chose Jean Leon Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 1975 to the opening of his term in 1980.
In 1963 they settled in the heart of the Alt Penedès. He was the implementerof Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay in Spain, reaching the first vintages in 1969 and 1971 respectively.
