Colour

Red color with garnet rim, intense color. Very good layer.

AROMA:

Aromatic, ripe forest fruit notes (raspberry) balsamic, Habana tobacco leaf, cocoa, cedar ...

TASTE:

Elegant in the palate, rich, sapid, structured and balanced. Touch sweet in mouth (black plum). Persistent and long finish.

Perfectly suitable with cooked homemade croquettes, hunting or mountain rice, with lichen and mushrooms. Knuckle of pork, among others. Excellent with duck confit.

Ceferino Carrio was born in Santander in 1928. At the 50's he emigrated to the USA where a year later changed his name to Jean Leon.
He created his own restaurant in Beverly Hills on April 1st of 1956. The most famous names from Hollywood and from the politics attended to the event. Years later, Reagan chose Jean Leon Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 1975 to the opening of his term in 1980.
In 1963 they settled in the heart of the Alt Penedès. He was the implementerof Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay in Spain, reaching the first vintages in 1969 and 1971 respectively.

12 months in French oak barrels, and at least 6 months in the bottle.
Limited production: 28000 bottles.
