Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Yellow color with greenish reflections. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

Aromatically it is the balance brought to unimaginable limits. Citrus notes (lemon peel, lime, and subtle hints of tangerine), along with notes of stone fruit and floral touches that harmonize with a sublime aromatic intensity.

TASTE:

Mouth where the acidity rises from the first moment, and where it is paired with glyceric tones. Long aftertaste, and with good persistence.

The origin of Castell d'Encus is largely due to the impact that the site had on Raül Bobet in 2001 while looking for land that could reduce the effects of climate change on the vineyards in the area of the Catalan Pyrenees. .

Of the 95ha of the property, 23ha have been planted in high density with varieties such as: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Semillon and Albariño. The rest has remained as a forest.

Manual harvest with small boxes of 10 kg of grapes coming exclusively from the farm itself. Part of the harvest has been made from grapes with noble rot. Vinified with small vats of 25 and 50 hl at low temperature.

This wine will develop in the bottle the complexity of cold climate Rieslings, always accompanied by an integrated acidity and glyceric length of botrytized wines.
