Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with garnet reflections, where it has an intensity of medium - high layer. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

Nose entry where complexity and intensity are reflected in the glass. Aromas of fruit jam, dairy and floral notes are the first to be expressed bluntly. Next, and with the corresponding evolution in glass, the toasted (empireumatic) and spicy will share the aromatic catalog.

TASTE:

It comes in the mouth with a formidable structure. It is elegant and unctuous, while managing to balance with exceptional freshness and tannins present but very well integrated. Long, fresh and persistent finish

The structure and elegance of the Mauro makes it a tremendously versatile wine to accompany all kinds of dishes, and gastronomy, such as; Grilled lamb, Baked coat of arms with potatoes and carrots, raw meat sausage with beans, rabbit rice with artichokes, cured cheeses and a long etc.

Over the years, Mariano García has established himself as a figure in world oenology and his first wine outside Vega Sicília has become one of the most anticipated year after year. Made with Tempranillo from vineyards located in the terms of Tudela de Duero and Traspinedo, and aged for fifteen months in French and American oak barrels and casings.

Mariano García was a winemaker in Vega Sicily for about thirty years. Restless by nature, in the late seventies he acquired 4 hectares of old vineyards in Tudela de Duero that would be the basis of his first personal project: Cellers Mauro.

Cellers Mauro (1980) marked a milestone in Spanish wine for its innovative conception: the wine conceived as a reflection of the environment and the terroir, elaboration of plots separately, limitation of yields, more reduced aging to favor the expression of the fruit ... Currently, Mariano García takes the reins of the winery with his sons Eduardo and Alberto.

It is a wine with a depth and aromatic purity and of extreme finesse and freshness. Wide, tasty, with a powerful but flexible tannic structure. It was bottled after 15 months of aging in French and American oak casks and barrels of different ages.
