TASTING NOTE
Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Yellow color with straw reflections. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

Nose entry, where if we had to define it with a word it would be intensity. It has very good complexity, as the aromas of its varietal character, plus the notes of its aging in lees are expressed naturally. There is a catalog of bank flowers (small hints of jasmine, with almond blossom) notes of nuts (almond, hazelnut and walnuts) and a finish with the characteristic mineral character.

TASTE:

In the mouth it is unctuous and fresh, where in its passage through the palate it gains a certain opulence and voluminousness. It is necessary to emphasize the perfect balance between a fresh and alive acidity that develops an extraordinary depth to him.

MATCHING
Ideal with white meats with light sauces, fish (of all kinds and cooking) seafood and vegetable creams.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
The 2013 vintage was the first for Mauro Godello, which was then launched on the market with a limited production of 1000 bottles. In the 2018 vintage has quadrupled production to about 6,500 bottles.
Mauro Godello was born on two estates located in Villafranca del Bierzo, although it is vinified in Tudela del Duero, thus taking on the designation of origin of Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla y León.
Thinking like a target, you can taste with all the guarantees for the next four years, enough time to be able to check its evolution.

Vineyards:
Planting with selected autochthonous clones on different farms in Villafranca del Bierzo. These plots are located at 700 meters of altitude on very poor soils of sand, decomposed slate and boulders of alluvial formation.

Elaboration and Aging:
Delicate crushing of the grapes and subsequent maceration with the skins at 8º for 12 hours in order to expand the aromatic flow. After a slight static racking, alcoholic fermentation begins in 500-liter first and second year barrels, where the wine remained in contact with its fine lees for 10 months until bottling.
