Colour
Clean, clear and bright. Yellow color with gray reflections. Very nice to look at.
AROMA:
A pure white with hints of burgundy wines. It is presented with good intensity of white and fleshy fruit with mineral notes.
TASTE:
In the mouth it is presented with all the personality we can expect from the wines of L'Àlvaro. Fresh, marked acidity and a perfectly integrated wood.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Plácet de Valtomelloso is a monovarietal white wine from Viura produced by the Palacios Remondo winery under the D.O. C. Rioja in Alfaro, Spain.
The clusters with which the Plácet de Valtomelloso wine is made come from the La Montesa estate where soils of calcium composition materials predominate and vines of around 30 years old grow, a vineyard that is worked under the principles of organic farming and located on a long, gently sloping slope on the slopes of Mount Yerga.
The harvest is carried out by hand and under a strict selection. When the bunches arrive at the winery, they are partially de-stemmed and gently pressed to begin the alcoholic fermentation that takes place in oval vats, at a low temperature and with their native yeasts. The resulting wine is aged in oval oak tanks for around 10 months, depending on the vintage.
The renowned and admired winemaker Álvaro Palacios has a gift for interpreting the landscape and extracting the best of each of the varieties from the vineyards where he works. This is the only white wine that he makes, Plácet de Valtomelloso, with the same delicacy and care with which he makes his renowned reds and where the viura (Macabeo) is expressed meaty and elegant, gastronomic and personal.
