Colour

Pale greenish yellow, bright and clean. Very pleasing to the eye.

AROMA:

It is very aromatic, complex, expressive, olfactory family of fruits such as yellow plum, loquat, ripe pineapple, a slight reminder of species such as vanilla and the sensation of toasted hazelnuts.

TASTE:

Very good attack, long journey, creamy, creamy, glyceric, enveloping, wine with structure and personality. Very long on the palate, honey flavors, sweet fruits, slight memories of cabinetmaking, fine quality woods.

Carabineros tartar with pearls from their coral and chaplaincy gel with ginger and coriander; vine partridge in warm salad, grilled foie-gras and mushrooms in a currant and mango vinaigrette; creamy carnaroli rice with squid of potra in its ink and piquillo nectar; capon-rooster free-range rooster and glazed with Iberian fat.
It is recommended to oxygenate a few minutes before consumption and serve between 13º and 14º C so that all its aromas can be perceived.

Marques de Murrieta is linked to the origin of Rioja wine since in 1852 Don Luciano Murrieta made the first Rioja wines in addition to being the first to export it outside the national territory. Don Luciano, appointed Marquis by King Amadeo of Savoy thanks to his work in Rioja, traveled to Bordeaux to learn the techniques of winemaking that he brought back to Spain. He established the concept of a French château on the Ygay estate where he ordered the construction of the emblematic Ygay Castle.
In 1983 Vicente D. Cebrián-Sagarriga, tenth Earl of Creixell, collected the witness, who updated the winery and continued the legacy of the Marquis of Murrieta. After his death, his son, Vicente D. Cebrián-Sagarriga, current Count of Creixell, assumes, together with his sister Cristina, the management of the winery, accompanied by a young and qualified team, and completely updates the Riojan winery.

Pago Capellanía, planted in 1945 and located on a plateau 485 meters above sea level, in the highest area of ​​our Finca Ygay.

Elaboration:
The previously squeezed bunches are brought to the press and after a brief contact with their skin they are pressed using a gentle and slow treatment that favors the extraction of their aromatic potential. Subsequently, the must, in the absence of solid parts and after racking, ferments in a stainless steel tank at a controlled temperature for 24 days.
The grape variety is 100% Viura. The aging process is 15 months in 225 liter new French oak barrels.
