AROMA:

Aromas of exotic fruit and bone, vanilla, balsamic ...

TASTE:

Unctuous, right acidity and fruity (feelings of pineapple, passion fruit), aromatic woods and mountain herbs. Long and pleasant citrus end, toasted and very persistent.

Can be combined perfectly with high taste power dishes. The aging in barrel gives structural smoked strength.
Fish in sauce dishes, monkfish with smoked prawns, or with an American lobster.

Ceferino Carrió was born in Santander in 1928. In the 1950s he emigrated to the USA where a few years later he would change his name to Jean Leon.
He created his own restaurant in Beverly Hills on April 1, 1956, where all the Hollywood stars and 4 presidents of the United States attended. Years later, Reagan chose the Jean Leon Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 1975 for the opening of his term in 1980.
In 1963 it was installed in the heart of the Alt Penedès, on a 150 ha estate. It was a pioneer in the implantation of Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay in Spain, launching the first vintages 1969 and 1971 respectively.

Elaboration:
6 months in new French oak barrels on lees, periodically stirring with the classic "batonage" method, and 6 months in minimum bottle.
Limited production: 20,000-27,000 bottles.
