Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with garnet reflections, where it has an intensity of medium layer. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

First contact in the nose where it is shy and briefly closed at first. Once decanted and opened, it offers us a range of aromas of black fruit (cherry, figs, blackberries) that manage to harmonize with the vegetable and tertiary notes of aging, where toast, dark chocolate, olives and spices of the licorice and black tea conclude among others the aromatic catalog.

TASTE:

Entry in the mouth wonderfully fresh and well balanced, where the acidity manages to fuse with extraordinary depth. With a definite palate and precise tannins, it will take you to a long finish with very good persistence.

Perfect to accompany it with grilled red meats, pasta with meat, vegetables or mushrooms, stews, cheeses and sausages.

Ester Nin and Carles Ortiz joined forces, farms and lives to create the Familia Nin Ortiz winery in 2008. Ester, a biologist and oenologist, has spent a good part of her life training in organic and biodynamic agriculture. Coming from a family of long-standing winegrowers in Penedés, he came to Priorat in 2001 to work on different projects, the most recognized alongside Daphne Glorian (Clos Erasmus) with whom they obtained 100 Parker points for two consecutive years , 2004 and 2005. For Ester the merit was double, since her very personal Nit de Nin obtained 98 points in her first vintage, a fact that did not go unnoticed by international critics.

AGING:

Aged for 18 months in two 3,200-liter French oak vats. From the 2012 vintage, work was also started with 700-liter clay jars.
