Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Red color with garnet reflections, and where, has a medium layer intensity. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

Intense, frank and expressive. We find notes of ripe red fruit, cocoa and liqueur sensations. Mineral and slightly spicy background.

TASTE:

On the palate with a good balance between the alcoholic sensation and the acidity. Very pleasant on the palate and with a good fruit load. Fresh, persistent and very pleasant finish.

Con pollo asado recommend that combine with Ciruelas, judías with sausage, grilled lamb of costillas, embedded, pork in oven.

Alfredo Maestro began his solo career in 1998, in his hometown; Peñafiel. In the beginning he made wines according to the rules of the area and the techniques accepted by the vast majority of Spanish producers, but obviously he did not like the results, because that was not what he wanted to express. Over the years he realized that if he wanted to make wines that spoke of the land, he had to start working in the vineyard, creating the right conditions for the grapes to be healthy and to transmit all their virtues.
Therefore, little by little, all the accessory and external products in the wine were eliminated during the elaboration, the aging and the bottling.

The wine project of the restless Alfredo Maestro in Ávila has materialized in this "El Marciano", which is made from old Grenache vineyards that he has saved from abandonment through the precepts of biodynamics. The granite landscape soil and the power of Gredos Grenaches bottled without artifice and without any contact with the barrel.

The wine looks like this, as blatantly authentic as it is tasty.
