AROMA:

Good aromatic power, frank, clean olfactory, hints of white and green fruit, slightly citrus ( green apple, peach, pineapple, lime ). Pleasant, fresh and young wine aromas.

TASTE:

Tasty, fruity character, with a dry finish, it is a light, fresh, balanced wine with great taste freshness, hints of fresh fruits such as pear, apple, medlar. Nice.

Ideal as a drink, for starters, tapas in general, fresh salads, vegetarian cuisine, even Asian, Japanese cuisine ...

The story begins with a circle of close friends, who dreamed of creating a wine that would make them fall in love when tasting it. Passionate about Spanish culture, they met every Saturday to taste and enjoy wine, leaving the wine rings on the table as traces of their nocturnal adventures. As local entrepreneurs they were united by their pioneering spirit and the instinct to discover the most expressive territories and vineyards. When La Rioja was officially recognized as a Denomination of Origin, it was that instinct that told them that La Rioja would be the new sub-region to create premium wines in Spain. Thus, in 1972 they set the audacious goal of founding the first winery in the region in which they believed so much: La Rioja. Friend of one of the members of the group, the Marqués del Puerto put his royal seal on the winery. The winery is a symbol of high oenological quality and local tradition in La Rioja. From the first harvest, quality is valued over quantity, making relatively small quantities of very special and personal wines. Bodega Marqués del Puerto is located in Fuenmayor, in the heart of La Rioja Alta. With the cool climate and cool winters of the Pyrenees, combined with the unmistakable Mediterranean influences that come from the nearby sea, wines are made that are a true reflection of the best of the Rioja terroir.
