TASTING NOTE

Colour: Intense yellow with golden highlights, bright

Aroma: Of remarkable intensity, very complex. Union of two olfactory families, fruit aromas, ripe peach, loquat, mango and sensations of its phase in barrel, toasted nuts, hazelnuts, smoked, vanilla, fine wood, elegant envelope.

Taste: Full-bodied, a very interesting wine, changing once opened, it can age in the bottle. The oldest vintages decanting it we will see all its gustatory splendor.
Slightly unctuous, fatty texture, notes of fine pastries, notes of honey, creamy, long, persistent, unique wine with a unique character, very personal.

MATCHING

It came with personality, with flavor. Dishes with more taste, ideal with Mediterranean rice, Menorcan stews, seafood and fish baked or grilled, also with white meats with light sauces.
Serving temperature from 10 to 12º C

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Elaboration: From old vines from 25 to 30 years old, picked by hand. Fermented and aged in French oak for 4 to 5 months.
Fine-tuning: It remains in the cellar already in the bottle 24 months to 38 months before going on the market depending on the vintage.
Pioneers in planting this variety in the Penedés area, the Garraf mace, stony, clayey and calcareous soils, with contributions from marine fossils.
The history of Can Ràfols dels Caus began in 1979. Carlos Esteva decided to move to his grandfather's estate located in Garraf (Barcelona). Esteva's arrival in Garraf was a revolution, planting new varieties and cultivation methods.
Mr. Esteva decided to take a big step with the construction of a new winery that would allow him to better work on the microvinifications he was carrying out with different grapes and plots on the farm. This new winery is fully embedded in the environment of the Garraf Massif, integrated into the landscape and designed at different levels in order to facilitate gravity vinification.
