Intense yellow, with some brilliant golden reflections.

AROMA:

Of remarkable intensity, complex aromas, with predominantly fruity notes, of young, fresh fruit, white fruit, sour fruit and some note of tropical fruit. Olfactory records of vegetables, mountain vegetation, aromatic plants, yellow apple, pineapple, some slight memories of banana are also present on the nose, a very light lactic perfume, fresh butter. Interesting.

TASTE:

Well constituted, harmonious, with a character, dry, long fruit, a good passage through the mouth and a persistent finish. These nose notes, some appear in the gustatory phase with more presence and flavor of lees, fine freshly baked pastry, a glyceric point, with personality.

It is a wine that harmonizes perfectly with the fantastic prawns of Roses, fresh fish from the Bay of Roses in the crystalline waters of Cap de Creus (Hake, monkfish, conger eel, cuttlefish, lobster, Norway lobster). A very typical and seafood dish is "Suquet de Peix" (fish). Also with rice dishes (black rice, "noodles arrossejat") and Cod Brandada

The Mas Coll is a farmhouse, one of the largest and most notable in Roses, documented since 1211. It was also the first winery in the province. Currently he owns numerous vineyard plantations. It is located in a hollow near the La Rota stream, between the Las Arenas road and the Roses-Cadaqués road. It is together with the Torre del Sastre one of the most emblematic buildings of Roses. The last owner of the Mas de la Coll family was Carles Coll y Riera.

Apart from visiting its vineyards, Coll de Roses offers the possibility of discovering the world of wine through a sensory tour of the "Wine Family Museum", an emotional approach to the production process.

The vineyards of Coll de Roses are located at the foot of the Cap de Creus Natural Park, at the foot of the last mountains of the Pyrenees just before meeting the Mediterranean. The property is located in the town of Roses, on the road to Cadaqués, and all the wines that are made are under the Empordà Denomination of Origin. The farm is influenced by the Mediterranean climate and has an average rainfall of 400 liters per year. Besides, the typical north wind of the area, the Tramuntana, cools the temperatures, with an annual average of 16º C, and acts as a natural antiseptic for the vines. The soil of the farm is the result of erosion of the Sierra de Rodes. The complex geology of these mountains influences the vineyards of Coll de Roses. Slate floors provide structure and elegance to wines. The property's vines were planted in the mid-1980s. Among the white varieties (Macabeo and Chardonnay) and the red varieties (Garnacha, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon) they total 35 ha. The farm also occupies 20 ha. of old olive groves of argudell, a native variety of the Empordà.
