TASTING NOTE
Colour

Pale yellow, bright, and clean.

AROMA:

Delicate and seductive, it offers a symphony of fruity aromas (lemon, grapefruit, tangerine).

TASTE:

On the palate, it is fresh, lively, juicy, and with fine pulp. Interesting and original in its personality.

WHO CAN CONTRACT
Awarded a Silver Medal in the young white wines category at the Vinari Awards 2024. Clos Ancestral is the result of the project to recover ancestral grape varieties that Familia Torres began forty years ago. It is the outcome of a wine archaeology effort to restore a common heritage. Forcada is the first pre-phylloxera white variety to be recovered and vinified, and when combined with xarel·lo, it gives this wine an irreplaceable authenticity.

The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
