TASTING NOTE
Colour

This wine shows an intense deep red with violet tones.

AROMA:

On the nose it is very complex and persistent, the age of the vine shows in the red fruit liqueur, nutmeg, minerals and woody vanilla, coconut and cinnamon tones.

TASTE:

In the mouth is it elegant, smooth and full-bodied. It is an expansive wine, persistent with a pleasant aftertaste of wood and fruit.

MATCHING
We can take it with red meats, grilled or with some sauce; but we recommend to taste it with veal “ragout” or with partridge with a wine sauce.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
The love to the vineyard and to the land led the Sastre family to venture more than five decades in the intricacies of this restless world of wine. Severiano Sastre was the pioneer of this great project and assisted in the founding of the Cooperativa Virgen de la Asunción. His son Rafael followed in his footsteps to fulfil the dream of creating a winery in 1992 with the support of both his father and his two sons Peter and Jesus. The latter's who now heads the winery.

Ribera del Duero is one of the most important wine-growing regions in Spain, is located in Castilla y León and embraces a part of the Duero basin. Limited in the east by the town of San Esteban de Gormaz and in the west by Quintanilla de Onessimo, Ribera del Duero has a surface of 21000 hectares and an annual production of barely 56 million of liters.
