On the nose, it lives up to its name, a wine that will reveal different layers as it opens up: initially shy with aromas of truffle and underbrush, which will evolve into red fruits as it gains oxygen.
On the palate, it has a smooth and rich entry, which mirrors its aromatic profile, accompanied by a medium, well-balanced structure that gives it an interesting persistence.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
