INFORMATION OF INTEREST Quest 2016
Colour: Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with garnet reflections, has a medium layer intensity. Very nice to look at.
Aroma: Nose entry where it is presented with very good complexity. First contact where the floral aromas delight you by providing their fresh part, then the notes of undergrowth and spices will become the protagonists, thus contributing with the most balsamic and mineral part.
Taste: On the palate where the silkiness is the main protagonist, it is elegant and nerve-wracking, and where its characteristic and pronounced acidity gives it a persistent freshness.
The origin of Castell d'Encus is largely due to the impact that the site had in Raül Bobet in 2001 while searching for land that could reduce the effects of climate change on vineyards in the Catalan Pyrenees area.
Of the 95ha of the property, 23ha have been planted in high density with varieties such as: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Semillon and Albariño. The rest have been kept as forest.
Manual harvest with small boxes of 10 kg of grapes exclusively from the farm itself. The wine has been fully fermented in 12th century stone presses and natural yeasts. 100% of the wine has undergone malolactic transformation in barrels, with a subsequent aging of 17 months.
This wine will develop all its complexity in the bottle. Good aging.

Para hablar de este vino me tendría que poner en pie, es prácticamente como beberse el cielo. Espectacular como todo Castell dEencús.
