TASTING NOTE
Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Maroon color with ruby highlights. Medium to low intensity. Very nice to see.

AROMA:

On the nose and when opened offers a catalog of delicate and delicate red fruit, where raspberry, pomegranate, cherry and behind hints of plum blossom without timidity. In the minutes, the aromas of spices and the herbaceous notes take center stage, where the black pepper, cloves, and fennel will set apart.

TASTE:

Entry into the mouth where the weight of the fruit is again generously expressed. The tannins are firm and velvety, but harmonize fantastically well with refreshing acidity and unique structure.

MATCHING
To go perfectly with ... A meatloaf (beef or lamb pie with mashed potatoes and vegetables), lamb chops stewed with herbs flavored with herbs.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
The Donaldson family has always been seriously involved in winemaking and winemaking for more than 40 years. Its founder, Ivan Donaldson, planted the first Canterbury vine in 1976, and then established Pegasus Bay in 1986, along with his wife Christine. It is a real business family, where their four children and their respective couples are also managing various aspects. The vineyard is in the Waipara Valley, north of Canterbury. The vineyards are perfectly protected by the base of the Teviotdale Range, which provides maximum protection against the sea breezes of the Pacific Ocean. With an age of more than 30 years, they offer us a low level of fertility, which naturally reduces the strength of the vine, which produces high quality grapes, where the taste they express is the result of only the terroir of the vineyard. The climate is quite contrasting, as the temperature is warm during the day and the nights are down considerably, which gives it extraordinary natural acidity.
