Colour
Ripe cherry colour, tile reflexes of middle layer.
AROMA:
Aromas of black fruits, wild berries into jam, a touch of roasted coffee, medium power, typical gran cru from Burgundy.
TASTE:
His attack is mild, creamy and velvety. His passage through the mouth is long and interesting, yet emphasizes its persistence.
MATCHING
It can accompany dishes and soft foods, minimally processed, like pasta with fish or shellfish, a filet mignon, or even osobuco.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
The vineyards of Domaine de la Romanée -Conti currently belong to Villaine and Leroy / Roch families. The directors are Aubert de Villaine and Henry Frédéric Roch, successor of Marcelle ( Lalou ) Bize - Leroy in 1992. The historical origins of these vineyards date back to the thirteenth century. About the year 1232, the abbot of St. Vivant acquired the first two hectares of vineyards. In mid- eighteenth century the vines obtained its current name when bought by Luis Francisco I of Bourbón, Prince de Conti . The supreme quality of the wines began to consolidate in the 1990s , after 20 years of hard work . The properties of the winery including the best collection of Grands Crus of the Côte d' Or in Burgundy. Romanée-Conti, Domaine emblem is a 1.8 hectares vineyard about 60 years old. La Tâche are 6 hectares of vineyards which have about 60 years and some 20,000 bottles are produced annually. Richebourg 3.5 hectares of vineyards are about 33 years old and that some 11,000 bottles are produced annually. Romanée Saint Vivant are of 5.2 hectares producing 18,000 bottles a year . Grands- Echezeaux are 3.4 hectares of vines almost 50 years producing 11,000 bottles a year . Échézeaux 4.6 hectares of vines are 35 years producing 15,000 bottles annually. Montrachet produce 3,000-4,000 bottles of white wine with 0.67 hectares. Vosne -Romanee Premier Cru is made from a second selection of all grape vineyards of Domaine except Romanée-Conti.
