PEÑÍN
Attractive cherry red colour with garnet rim and flashes of ruby evolution. Its well covered, clean and bright.
In nose it has a good aromatic expression after a brief oxygenation, displaying ripe black fruit aromas (plums, blueberries) and a spicy and toasty notes and a pleasing set of great complexity.
It presents a good entry on the palate with moderate acidity, tannic structure bulk and to open a long, pleasant aftertaste. It is a huge wine, which displays its meatiness and conveys an elegant finish and joint ventures.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
