TASTING NOTE
Colour
Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with garnet reflections. Medium - high layer intensity. Very nice to look at.
AROMA:
In the nose it is the expression of its environment. There are aromas of almost computed black and red fruit that evolves favorably offering the most liqueur notes. A few minutes into the glass, its complexity goes a step further, where the mineral, roasted coffee and chocolate notes express themselves without shyness.
TASTE:
Entry in the mouth with voluminousness, where its passage is fleshy and with some mature tannins but with a firm structure that leads us to an end of a unique persistence.
MATCHING
Perfect companion with dishes where meat and gustatory power are the protagonists. Roasted quail, sausages with mushrooms, cannelloni with béchamel, canned snails, grilled pork feet with allioli, roasts, chicken with prawns and sausages can be the ideal allies.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Since 1979 Albet i Noya has been a pioneer in the ecological cultivation of the vineyard in Spain. They are currently undergoing a major renovation of their facilities with the construction of the new Xapallà winery in Can Vendrell. They are also carrying out a recovery program for pre-phylloxera varieties.
Of the 101 hectares of land they control, 76 are dedicated exclusively to the cultivation of the vineyard. The vineyards of the estate cover the skirts of the western end of the Ordal mountain range, following the undulations of the terrain and arranging themselves on terraces or on slopes facing the midday band. Like all wine-producing soils, those of Can Vendrell are poor in organic matter with variable contents of clay and sand on a bed of calcareous stone; a permeable soil but with good moisture retention capacity. When defining the ideal location for each of the 15 types of vines they cultivate, the orientation of the land, the hours of sunlight they receive, the humidity and their height have been taken into account.

Ya lo conocíamos por haberlo probado en una feria dedicada a la D.O. Penedés hace poco en Barcelona. Es uno de los que más nos gustó de los que probamos. Equilibrado, trabajado, gustoso, sin estridencias. Merece la pena.
