AALTO was founded in February 1999 when Mariano García - who was for 30 years the technical director and winemaker of Vega Sicilia - and Javier Zaccagnini - 6 years Director of the Regulatory Board of the D.O. Ribera del Duero - they decided to combine their skills and experience to start a singular winery. They started from a specific goal: to make a wine that from the first moment, showed a differentiated personality and was among the best in the world in 15 to 20 years.

He came 7 or 8 harvests in each decade. After the alcoholic fermentation, this wine is subjected to fermentation
malolactic in new barrels. Its permanence in wood is between 20 and 30 months in barrels
new French oak.
The vintage 2015 has been a great vintage and our best wine exhibits all the qualities corresponding to a perfect maturation of the old vineyards of Tempranillo: intensity, finesse, polished and silky tannic structure, elegance and balance. The nose preserves the fruit notes with the presence of French wood in good harmony and the mouth offers a wide variety of flavors, from the typical Tempranillo (licorice, black fruits, Indian ink ...) to those of a careful aging in barrels (plums, coffee, spices, tobacco ...). The PS 2015 is a structured and powerful wine and needs some years in the bottle to offer its best qualities. Ideally, you should save at least a year to start enjoying it, although from the third year onwards, you will develop an even greater complexity and range of nuances.
