The complex and very fresh nose reveals a harmonious combination of candied apricot,honey and maple syrup aromas.
From a dense and round attack, initially dominated by white fruit, the wine develops gentle spice flavours, such as saffron. The mid-palate is lush and substantial, with the fruit making a lovely return at the end, while the long and elegant finish has a slightly mineral touch.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
