TASTING NOTE
Colour

Golden yellow, with intense gold reflections.

AROMA:

Remarkable intensity, very fragrant wine, subtle, frank, primary aromas ( apple, grapefruit ), a background of tropical fruits such as lychee, fine hints of fennel, herbaceous, fresh green sensations.

TASTE:

Pleasant on the palate, very good journey, tasty, persistent, with a fruity character, ripe citrus, yuzu lemon, very balanced sweet lemon, fresh, easy to drink, a dry, light finish.

MATCHING
Ideal with local products, fish, shellfish, molluscs, fresh from the coast. In winter the season that is recommended and best quality sea urchins. In the spring, delicious steamed rock mussels. In summer crustaceans, lobster , grilled, boilet with light sauces. Also rice dishes, Mediterranean fideuas, Sublime with a soupy lobster rice from Cap de Creus or La Caldereta menorquina.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
The Martín Faixó family, from Cadaqués, embarked in 2000 on planting and recovering the vineyard in the Cap de Creus Natural Park. Four years later, the first grapes were picked by hand on the same land that their ancestors had worked on.
The wine adopts the name Perafita in reference to the name of the 14th century farmhouse that delimits the municipalities of Cadaqués, Roses and Port de la Selva and that in 2003 the family acquired and later restored to transform it into a winery. The family bond with the world of wine goes back a long way. On the mother's side (Faixó), they have always been dedicated to fishing and agriculture, with vineyards and later olive trees. On the father's side (Martín), they have worked in the restoration. For 35 years, the Martín Faixó family has been running the Can Rafa restaurant in Cadaqués. The current generation has merged these two family vocations with the creation of the Martín Faixó Winery. The winery has 14 hectares planted with vineyards in a slate-shaped mineral soil, of the Garnacha Tinta, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Picapoll and Moscatel de Alejandría varieties.

Wines whites designation of origin D.O. Empordà
The appellation of Origin Empordà is located on the northern-east of Catalonia. The territory is distributed in two regions and 55 villages. 35 belong to Alt Empordà and the remaining 20 belong to Baix Empodrà. The average annual production reaches the 65000 hectoliters of wine with a planted surface of around 2000 hectares. From its beginnings the denomination was called Empordà-Costa Brava, but in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was deleted.
