Colour

Yellow with some straw reflection, it is bright, clean and very pleasing to the eye.

AROMA:

Wine of great aromatic complexity, different nuances, two olfactory families, fruits ( citrus, white fruits ), light floral sensations and notes of its upbringing ( pastries, toasts, truffles ).

TASTE:

Very well structured, harmonious, perfect balance of fruit with the flavors provided by the barrel ( roasted, vanilla ), we highlight the sensation of creaminess, it is creamy in the mouth with a long, persistent finish.

With the strength and flavor of fresh, boiled, steamed, grilled seafood. Excellent with cold meats such as a good roast beef or a beef carpaccio, salads with white meats, different poultry ("chicken salad" and apple or pineapple).

Félix Azpilicueta Martínez is one of the most relevant figures in the history of Rioja wine. A dynamic and enterprising man, in 1881 he took over a small vineyard in Fuenmayor and founded the wineries of Romeral, one of the pioneering wineries in the area. Don Félix, as his neighbors called him, soon installed the first Transfer Station in Spain and participated in the first Rioja wine exports. Little by little, with a lot of effort and a great commercial vision, he transformed that primitive winery into a well-known and prestigious brand.
The construction of the cellar underground allows to achieve naturally the ideal conditions for the production and aging of the wine while integrating with the landscape. The burial of most of the winery creates spaces where darkness and serenity evoke the spatial and environmental qualities of the most traditional wineries and allows our winemaking team to work as wine artisans.
