TASTING NOTE
Colour

Yellow colour with golden reflections.

AROMA:

Good intensity, it shows some complexity, intermixed fruit with an elegant wood, fleshy fruit like ripe banana, toffee funds, vanilla notes, pleasant and attractive aroma.

TASTE:

Intense in mouth, wide and silky, balanced and structured, perfect point of creaminess and smoothness, interesting, long, fruity final and some toffee, cookie and chocolate notes.

MATCHING
Big fish dishes, baked or with sauces, seafood, crustaceans, white meats or poultry. Serving temperature between 10º and 12ºC. The aging characters improve in the following 3-4 years, as long as the wine rest in the optimal storage conditions.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Family farm with documented records that wine production already existed for five centuries.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the Huguet family acquired the farm, which is understood by mountain coasts at 400 meters of altitude. Cabrera de Anoia (Anoia, Barcelona). Located in the northernmost part of Penedès, responsible and ecological vineyard.

Elaboration:
Only own crops. Manual harvest with selection of the grapes in the vineyard itself and on the selection table upon arrival at the winery. Obtaining the first "flower must" by direct pressing of the fresh and whole grapes at low pressures in a pneumatic press. Clarification of musts by static decanting. Fermentation of the must in oak barrels from the best forests in France. It has been 8 months on its own lees and in the same barrels in which it fermented. After bottling, the wine has matured for a minimum of 8 months in underground cellar.

Wines whites designation of origin D.O. Penedès
Between the cities of Barcelona and Tarragona is located the Penedès region, with the largest wine-growing surface and the largest production in Catalonia. Bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, the Pre-litoral Mountains and from the Llobregat River to the Gaià River. The most important cities of this appellation of origin are the Vilafranca del Penedès (capital city) and Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. The more planted variety is Xarel·lo, with a surface of more than 7000 hectares.
