The house G.H. Mumm is located in the north of France in Reims. It was founded by three brothers, Jacobus, Gottlieb and Phillip Mumm, German winemakers in the valley of the Rhine, and G. Heuser and Friedrich Giesler in March 1827 as P. A. Mumm Giesler. Mumm brand is famous for its red ribbon (Cordon Rouge). A red ribbon that looks much like the French Grand Cordon of the Legion of Honor of France. Currently G. H. Mumm is one of the largest producers of Champagne in the world and belongs to Pernod Ricard.
