Colour

Golden colour, a hallmark of the black grape varieties, with a very fine bead.

AROMA:

Great aromatic complexity, with ripe fruit and spice: baked apple, compote and peach.

TASTE:

A balance of structure, length and liveliness, with velvety bubbles. Pear, brioche, spice and fresh walnut notes come through.

The house recommendation is a scallop and truffle carpaccio.
It also pairs well with grilled shellfish, white fish in creamy sauces, poultry, hard aged cheeses such as Comté, and Ibérico ham.

Made from 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay and 15% Meunier, with over 85% of the grapes from Grands and Premiers Crus. Reserve wines make up the majority of the blend, and part of them is kept in magnums for 7 to 15 years. It is aged in the cellar for more than twice the time required by the appellation and has a moderate dosage of 6 to 7 g/l, within the Brut category. Best served at 8–10 °C, it can be enjoyed now or cellared. The name was suggested in 1911 by Georges Bollinger's British agent, who spelled it the English way with no accent because he felt "Brut sans année" did not do justice to such a subtle champagne. It has received 93/100 from James Suckling and 91/100 from the Revue des Vins de France.
