TASTING NOTE
Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Garnet color with reddish reflections, and where it has a medium layer intensity. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

On the nose, it is a wine that offers us with great intensity a very present fruit. Its notes are fresh, balanced and with a very characteristic mineral touch. Berries, flowers and spicy notes of pepper and cloves conclude its aromatic spectacle.

TASTE:

Mouth entry where it requires prior aeration, as the aid must acquire millimeter accuracy. Of medium intensity, it is characterized by its fruit and seductively silky tannins. A wine of great presence and freshness. Long and delicate finish.

MATCHING
Ideal with grilled red meats, meat rice (such as magret with death trumpets), sausages and spoon dishes.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Niepoort is a winery founded in 1842 run by the Niepoort family. They have had the collaboration of the Noriega family to make their wines for many years. He carries out traditional Portuguese techniques such as grape treading, fermentation in cement tanks or aging in pipes, 550-liter port aging barrels, and at the same time has new technologies that allow him to work the grapes with great care. It has vineyards in different locations, some over 100 years old, and its aging warehouse is in Vila Nova de Gaia.

The Niepoort Conciso Tinto vineyard faces east on the slopes of the Serra da Estrela and its vines are centuries old. The soil is granite, with the varieties already mixed in the field, and the vines are already over a hundred years old.

The Niepoort Conciso Tinto grapes are vinified in a press with half of the harvest destemmed. Macerates for a long time but without excessive extraction. It ferments for about 25 days and ages for about 20 months in a large 2,500-liter wooden barrel. It is bottled without filtering or clarifying.
