Colour
Clean and bright Cherry color with lightly garnet reflections. Very nice to look at.
AROMA:
Entry into the nose with very good intensity and complexity. It shows a frank and direct wine, dominated by notes of red fruit with floral touches, in which the violet is pronounced with more force; all combined with a vegetable point that makes it a fantastically balanced wine.
TASTE:
Step by mouth long and very vividly. The notes of red fruit are perfectly expressed where they merge with very well integrated tannins. In short, a persistent Syrah and the Empordà.
MATCHING
Thanks to its perfectly balanced taste power it makes it ideal to accompany it with typical Mediterranean dishes; How could it be the typical chicken roast, grilled vegetables with romesco sauce, or cuttlefish with peas.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
The Empordà is a legendary wine region, where the Greeks were the first to introduce the culture of wine and wine around 600 BC. Mas Oller is a historical estate located in the municipality of Torrent, in the region of the Baix Empordà, with views of the Medes Islands and the walls of Pals, with lands scattered around a 17th century farmhouse. In the 50s of the last century, vineyards and olive groves were started to dedicate themselves to the monoculture of cereals and the intensive exploitation of the herd. In the year 2000, Carlos Esteva - owner of the prestigious Can Ràfols dels Caus winery - decides to rescue the family farm from oblivion, delicately rejuvenating the farmhouse, locating the cellar in which it was the cattle dealer and replanting vineyards what he had It was the best wine estate of Pals, with the desire to produce new wines of quality, based on the Empordà tradition, but innovating in many details, from the vineyard to the winery. The wines of the first harvests, produced by young vines, were sold in the area. Now, the vineyards have acquired enough age to produce the concentration of fruit that was being sought. Nowadays, almost 400 years after its construction, Mas Oller has become a winery of reference to the D.O. Empordà with wines that are made from a philosophy that bets on the singularity and the expression of the place where they are born.
