Aromatic, of an average intensity, scents of candied red fruits, balsamic and light spici (cinnamon). The nose in his whole is complex and elegant.
In mouth is balanced and tasty. It has a quite good structure in his attack, fruity in his step by the palate, in which we can notice sour cherries, pepper, aromatic herbs and wood from his barrel ageing. It has an accurate ending; it shows himself warm with polished tannins.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
