TASTING NOTE
Colour

Ruby red color. Half layer Clean and bright. It leaves an abundant tear in the glass of very slow evolution.

AROMA:

Intense and expressive, with a strong presence of aromas of red fruits, currants, pomegranate, strawberry tree, accompanied by notes of citrus fruits, grapefruit, floral hints, violets, and balsamic aromas typical of the Mediterranean area. Intense and expressive, with a strong presence of aromas of red fruits, currants, pomegranate, strawberry tree, accompanied by notes of citrus fruits, grapefruit, floral hints, violets, and balsamic aromas typical of the Mediterranean area.

TASTE:

Ample, warm and fresh thanks to an acidity that balances the alcohol level. It has a silky mouthfeel, with round and polished tannins and where the mix of fruity and balsamic notes make it delicious. Long and delicately bitter finish.

MATCHING
It will accompany all kinds of meat very well, especially grilled red meat
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Catalina is a hairy Grenache monovarietal wine that, after fermentation in equal parts in stainless steel tanks and in barrel, is aged for 3 months in 500 l clay jars.
Catalina was one of Porrera's grandmothers, born in the town of Águila in Murcia, whom the winemaker Albert Costa of the Vall-Llach de Porrera winery (DOQ Priorat) wanted to immortalize with this project, dedicated to claiming the legacy of the winegrowers of Porrera. Immigrant women who traveled several kilometers from their homes to reach the vineyards. The Matilde and Joaquima wines form part of the same project, all of them produced under the Clos l'Asentiu brand.

The Vall-Llach winery, which is very committed to the elderly in Porrera, has signed a collaboration agreement with the Town Council of this priory town to finance projects aimed at this group with the profits obtained from the sale of these wines , among other actions.
