Clean, clear and bright. Orange color with tile reflections. Medium layer intensity. Nice to look at.
The nose stands out for its character, where it has marked notes of Mediterranean herbs that are harmonized by a more subtle background fruit.
In the mouth it is wide and long, where it is presented with warmth and intensity, a wine that evolves with an extraordinarily good bottle. Long, fresh and persistent finish.
Long aged wine that pairs well with dishes not very strong, but with personality: red meat, steak.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Can Ràfols dels Caus has one of the most beautiful estates in Penedés, located near Avinyonet del Penedès, in the heart of the Garraf mountain range. The history of the farmhouse dates back to the Romans, although the current buildings were built in the 16th century.
Carles Esteva, in the early 1980s, became involved in the restructuring of the vineyards. He planted up to 30 Ha. Of different varieties: cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah, chardonnay, chenin ... in addition to the classic xarel.lo, macabeo and parellada, which he cultivates today according to biological methods and without irrigation (dry land) for elaborate, mainly, wines with good aging capacity, fine wines, with a long aging in the bottle, elegant, capable of transmitting the fruit, the soil and the hand of man.
