Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with garnet reflections. High layer intensity. Very nice to look at.

AROMA:

In the nose the intensity in aromas surrounds you from the first moment, where the ripe and computed black fruits occupy the wide aromatic range. Next, and with the minutes of ideal aeration, the catalog of tertiary and empiric aromatic aromas will be opened, where coffee, toast, cocoa and spices (licorice) will merge in a perfect elegance.

TASTE:

On the palate with the same intensity as it did on the nose, it is a wine with a lot of flavor and a power worthy of its place of origin, where concentrated and sweet tannins will develop with an almost chewable elegance and opulence. Long, wide and persistent finish.

Due to its organoleptic characteristics it is a wine that can accompany a great diversity of dishes, rice, everything type of meats, roasts, game meats, poultry, stews ... ideal for the after-dinner and certain types for dessert.

The history of one of the most emblematic wines in the country is relatively new. It all started in 2001, when the family and current owner of the winery Gil Vera started a new project in collaboration with the prestigious Australian winemaker Chris Ringland.

The first harvest that was marketed was in 2002 with the brand "El Nido y Clio". The main goal was to be able to bring to market a wine that would make a difference and become a reference in and out of the country, which was met with capital letters. His second harvest, the 2004 vintage, earned 99 Parker points for the Nido (Clio’s older brother) and 97 Parker points for the Clio. Since then, El Nido has been one of the most emblematic wines in the country and has a world-wide reputation.
