Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with garnet reflections. Medium / high layer intensity. Very nice to see.

AROMA:

Entry in the nose, where the first contact seduces you with the aromas of black fruit, being the plum ripe and the blackberries the protagonists. In the background and in all the elegance, the distinctive touches of violet and cassis appear, ending the route with licorice sparks and very subtle but noticeable touches of incense smoke.

TASTE:

The entry into the mouth can be defined between elegance and volume. Very mature, balanced and well integrated tannins form the taste of this fantastic wine, perfectly harmonized between Tuscany (Italy) and Napa Valley (California). Long and persistent.

Versatility at its highest. Perfect to accompany from the fantastic and wonderful Italian cuisine (Focaccias, beef lasagna, spaghettis with ragú sauce, ravioli stuffed with milk cream mushrooms and Parmesan shavings) with egg rolls, chilli burger or crab salad from the USA.

The name Antica comes from the words Antinori and California, and represents the Antinori family's desire to make exceptional wines that are a true expression of Napa Valley terroir. The Antinori family's 26 generations of wine history have long been synonymous with the famous wine regions of Tuscany and Umbria. Today, their wines are among the most recognized and highly regarded in Italy. But Marquis Piero Antinori and his daughters, Albiera, Allegra and Alessia, are also known for seeking the undiscovered potential of specific wine regions while remaining true to the tradition, culture and taste of Antinori wines. First produced in 2006, this wine is the result of a precise selection of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the vineyards of the old estate, in the Napa Valley. It is in barrels for 12 months, followed by another year in the bottle. This limited production of Cabernet Sauvignon, in which the Tuscan and Californian styles intertwine in perfect harmony, represents the first important step of the estate. Antica is the realization of a wish and at the same time the milestone for the production of great wines in Antinori in the Napa valley.
