Colour

Clean, clear and bright. Cherry color with garnet reflections, glycerin wine with abundant tears and a high intensity layer. Very nice to see.

AROMA:

In the nose, the fruit load takes center stage, where the aromas of red fruits (raspberries, cherries) and black (blackberries, plums) slightly computed are the indisputable protagonists. In the minutes and with the corresponding aeration, the most spicy notes are released, where the pepper, clove and subtle hints of cocoa and vanilla are harmonized with menthol aromas.

TASTE:

Fresh mouth, but with a velvety sensation due to its fruitiness. Passing through a dense mouth with extremely mature and well integrated tannins. A wine with character, personality, long and persistent.

Ideal for accompanying complex salads, cold meats and grilled lamb.

Mas Anglada and the vineyards have gone hand in hand for more than 200 years. But in 2004, the old strains were replaced by new ones of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varieties, with which around 4,500 bottles are produced annually.

The vines occupy a total of 1.2 hectares. The composition of the soil, degraded slate with a lot of clay and a granite layer on the lower substrates, allows them to lengthen their roots and enjoy a higher water retention than the rest of the DO Empordà.

Mas Anglada wines are the owner's dream come true. The names of these respond to their own emotional experiences: ANALVARO is made in tribute to Ana and Alvaro, two of their eight children, while TOLIMEN evokes the experiences shared in an old family boat, collected in the book Tolimen and the language of the volcano
