WHO CAN CONTRACT
The co-operative Winery of Espolla was inaugurated in 1931, on the initiative of the agricultural trade union founded in 1906 by a group of winemakers who wanted to improve and enhance what they individually produced and marketed with difficulties. More than 75 years in the service of the quality wine with a spirit of constant renovation to incorporate modern techniques both in the cultivation of the vine and the wine, the winery Espolla makes one of the leading companies of the D. O. Empordà belongs since the beginning.

Wines fortifieds designation of origin D.O. Empordà
The appellation of Origin Empordà is located on the northern-east of Catalonia. The territory is distributed in two regions and 55 villages. 35 belong to Alt Empordà and the remaining 20 belong to Baix Empodrà. The average annual production reaches the 65000 hectoliters of wine with a planted surface of around 2000 hectares. From its beginnings the denomination was called Empordà-Costa Brava, but in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was deleted.
