This is similar to the better-known but more expensive Fernet Branca. It has a similar distinct taste but with a bit more more fennel/licorice to it. I have an active hiatus hernia and I find either Fernet is a wonderful way to finish a meal and settle my stomach. I just wish that all my medicines were this nice. My neighbour thinks it tastes like petrol.
