Strong intense nose with aromas of peach, apricot and touches of exotic fruits (pineapple) over a base of aniseed and herbs.
Dry tasty and well balanced, somewhat meaty and with good structure. Broad fruit and herby finish with agreeable bitter finish characteristic of verdejo variety.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
