TASTING NOTE
Colour

Intense golden yellow, reflections of old gold.

AROMA:

It is very complex, interesting and changing. White fruit aromas in jam, baked apples, honey from the Mediterranean forest (heather, rosemary, thyme).

TASTE:

Full-bodied on the palate, volume, taste of dehydrated fruits (plums, yellow raisins, apricot apricots), notes of reduction in the bottle, slight memory of white truffle. Long, persistent.

MATCHING
It is a wine that with oxygenation, passing it to a decanter is favorable in many cases. Improves, full-bodied wine and flavor like fatty, unctuous full-bodied dishes (white meats, broth rice, sea and mountain dishes "Chicken with crayfish").

Service temperature from 10 to 12º C.
WHO CAN CONTRACT
Small, family winery "Vinos de Autor". The expression Jaume Bertran has never interpreted the expression so well. It only has 2 hectares of very low production vineyards in Sant Joan de Mediona, in the northernmost part of Penedés. Very limited productions.

Wines whites designation of origin D.O. Penedès
Between the cities of Barcelona and Tarragona is located the Penedès region, with the largest wine-growing surface and the largest production in Catalonia. Bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, the Pre-litoral Mountains and from the Llobregat River to the Gaià River. The most important cities of this appellation of origin are the Vilafranca del Penedès (capital city) and Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. The more planted variety is Xarel·lo, with a surface of more than 7000 hectares.
