Gramona Argent Rose
INFORMATION OF INTEREST Gramona Argent Rose 2011
Colour: It has a gorgeous pale pink colour with salmon nuances.
Aroma: Excellent aromatic intensity with light and elegant floral background (poppy petals), fine pastry aromas (pumpkin and
syrup pastry filling, puff pastries, etc.), perfectly assembled with ripe white fruit and bigarreau cherry skin aromas. Surprises
come in the form of a chalk aroma and the depth of its entire ensemble.
Taste: Wine-rich attack, exciting and arousing, with a finish that is pleasantly dry. An all-encompassing density. The foam
melts in the mouth, leaving a reminiscence of the cuvée fruits and a light floral background.
Ideal for dishes with truffles or white oven-baked meats under mild sauces. It strikes an intimate connection with mushrooms, and
is ideal for fine Iberian cured meats. It offers a perfect symbiosis alongside rices with consommé, and of course, an essential companion
of great conversations among friends or a delicate and romantic evening for two.
Gramona is the union of two families linked to the world of wine: Batlle and Gramona . The first were a family of winegrowers and winemakers established in Sant Sadurní. The latter, trained as winemakers in the early twentieth century, have given name to the company, today considered one of the most prestigious in the world of cava. Currently, it is the fifth generation of the Gramona - Batlle, Jaume and Xavier, responsible for managing the winery and continue to develop in the traditional champagne method, passing from generation to generation, the love of the land and the vine of their ancestors. His last step was the modernization of the Celler Batlle, making it a futuristic cellar built under the vines, with capacity to further develop some of the finest champagnes and wines from Spain.
