AROMA:

Its excellent, cool ripeness, it evokes white fruit, genuine sparkles of aromatic herbs, pine moss and oak, vanilla, puff pastry, custard, nuts, toffee, praline, and dried apricots

TASTE:

Very good opening on the palate. Small bubbles that allow one to enjoy a glyceric texture while being submerged in a sensation of full physical pleasure. Expressive retro-olfaction that confirms the ripeness and the long-aging tones in the nose, with a whisper of mineral notes. Long aftertaste with evocations of fruit.

Peñín Guide 2012: 94/100 Gramona is the union of two families linked to the world of wine: Batlle and Gramona . The first were a family of winegrowers and winemakers established in Sant Sadurní. The latter, trained as winemakers in the early twentieth century, have given name to the company, today considered one of the most prestigious in the world of cava. Currently, it is the fifth generation of the Gramona - Batlle, Jaume and Xavier, responsible for managing the winery and continue to develop in the traditional champagne method, passing from generation to generation, the love of the land and the vine of their ancestors. His last step was the modernization of the Celler Batlle, making it a futuristic cellar built under the vines, with capacity to further develop some of the finest champagnes and wines from Spain.
