Intense and clean aromas. Dominated by red fruit which are mingled with hints of its ageing: snuff, truffle and vanilla.
Concentration is good, it has a long finish. With body and good acidity, typical of its variety character wines in Rioja Alta.
The Empordà appellation of origin is located in the northeastern part of Catalonia. The territory is distributed between two counties and 55 municipalities. 35 municipalities belong to the Alt Empordà and 20 are in the Baix Empordà. The average annual production is 65,000 hectoliters of wine with a planted vineyard area of approximately 2,000 hectares. At the beginning the appellation was called Empordà-Costa Brava, in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was eliminated.
