Colour: Clean and bright Cherry color with garnet reflections. Medium-high layer intensity. Very nice to look at.
Aroma: Nose entry with a very intense aromatic power, where predominantly, species and understory notes. It is a complex and very well structured wine.
Taste: It has a vibrant, complex and persistent entry. The tannins are ripe and fine, they are accompanied by a perfectly balanced acidity with the rest of the elements. Intense purity and marked by spectacular astringency. With a long and persistent ending.
Saktih is a red wine made by the Castell d'Encús winery in Talarn (Lleida), D.O. Costers of the Segre.
Castell d'Encús is the personal project of Raül Bobet. Located in the Pyrenean area of Pallars Jussà (Lleida) in a mountainous area with an altitude of 800 to 1000 meters, the estate has a hermitage and stone wineries of the XII century of the Castell d'Encús, which uses them for the elaboration of some of their wines. The orientation is mainly South-West with good protection from the cold northern winds.
Raül Bobet has a sincere philosophy, based on maximum care of the vineyard, passion, maximum dedication and respect for nature. It does not use any type of herbicide or pesticide in its agriculture. Its intention is to produce a limited quantity of bottles coming in full from the fruit of their vines.
Saktih is a red wine made with Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon from own vineyards located at about 1000 meters of altitude.
The harvest is manual in small boxes of 10kg. The wine has been completely fermented in the stone wine presses of the estate with native yeasts. After the fermentation, it is aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, where it has also undergone malolactic fermentation.
