TASTING NOTE
Colour

Clean, limpid and bright. Intense cherry color with garnet reflections, and where it presents a medium layer intensity.

AROMA:

The nose is energetic, lively and mineral. Its aromas are reminiscent of red fruits and balsamic notes.

TASTE:

Mouthfeel with all the personality we can expect. It is intense, elegant, balanced and perfectly expressive with ripe and well-integrated tannins.

WHO CAN CONTRACT
The winemaking Castle Peralada is documented since the Middle Ages, as evidenced by several papers and parchments from the era that remain in the library. When Miguel Mateu bought this monument in 1923, one of its main goals was the revitalization of the winemaking tradition, a tradition that is more alive today than ever and has incorporated the latest technology to produce wines that Making the most of the nuances of the soil and the vines of the Empordà.

Finca Espolla is located in the foothills of the Pyrenees, in the area known as Les Alberes, and is characterized by its slate and acid soil, with a characteristic black color.

Syrha i Monastrell molt equilibrate

Interesting Empordà wine, a blend of 60 percent Syrah and 40 percent Monastrell, sourced from the slopes and terraces (slate soils) in the mountain range ‘Serra de l'Albera’ (north-east of the province Girona, Catalunya). Maturation: eighteen months in new Allier barriques. Decanted: one hour prior to tasting. Color: deep ruby-red with violet notes. Bouquet: highly intense nose with complex aromas of dark red fruit, Mediterranean spices, roasted coffee and some earthy and balsamic nuances. On the palate: a powerful but well-balanced wine dominated by concentrated plum and blackberry fruit and supported by a refreshing acidity and present but nicely integrated tannins. Finish: solid, persistent aftertaste. A very enjoyable wine with a great QPR ; to drink now and over the next 2–4 years.

Rijping: achttien maanden in nieuwe Allier-barriques. Gedecanteerd: een uur voor consumptie. Kleur: diep robijnrood met paarse schakeringen. Bouquet: bijzonder intense neus met complexe aroma's van donkerrood fruit, mediterrane kruiden, gebrande koffie en ook wat aardse en balsamische nuances. In de mond: een krachtige maar degelijk uitgebalanceerde wijn, gedomineerd door geconcentreerd pruimen- en bramenfruit en geschraagd door een verfrissende aciditeit en presente maar mooi geïntegreerde tannines. Finale: soliede, persistente afdronk. Een bijzonder aangename wijn met een uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding. Te drinken: nu en in de komende 2–4 jaar.

The appellation of Origin Empordà is located on the northern-east of Catalonia. The territory is distributed in two regions and 55 villages. 35 belong to Alt Empordà and the remaining 20 belong to Baix Empodrà. The average annual production reaches the 65000 hectoliters of wine with a planted surface of around 2000 hectares. From its beginnings the denomination was called Empordà-Costa Brava, but in 2006 the indication Costa Brava was deleted.
